My sweet Cassidy

Before the surgery

So yesterday we did the surgery of the tonsils and adenoids. She did amazing. The Dr. got a really late start. We had to be there at 8:15 and she was scheduled for 9:30. But They took her back at 10:15 it is a 30 min deal then you have to stay in recovery for an hour. So we got home around noon. She sleep ed for about 1 1/2 hours then she was up for the day. She played the wii she read a book. For dinner she had 3 bowls of rice and hamburger. And I woke her up at 1:00 am to give her her Pain meds but she really did not want it so the rest of the night I let her sleep and in the morning at 9:00 she asked for some pain meds. So I think we are doing great. She is having a hard time talking today but all in all she is amazing. He are some pics. Love them.
This is what Mike and I saw as we walked into the recovery room Cassi curled up in a ball shivering pretty good. They had to get two warm blankets for he but all it took was to have dad put his warm hands on here to get her warm.
Then this is her trying to eat a pop sickle and not liken it. pour girl But this is the only time she cried. She was not all the way awake either.

This is the Nurse explaining to Cassi everything she is doing as she takes the IV out. Cassi is all about knowing how everything is done. She had a lot of questions for the Nurses and Dr's it was funny. Wanted to know if the mask was going to stay on the whole time and if it was how would they get to her tonsils. She is so cute.

Thanksgiving and Christmas

Yes I know thanksgiving was forever ago but I am so behind. I get on here to Post and see all of your new posts so I read them and by the time i am done I have to fix lunch or it's nap time or kids are coming home from school ect... So today I thought I would post first then read your posts. so here goes.

Now as for Christmas my poor daughter Cassidy has to have tonsils and adenoids out on DEC 16 so this Christmas is going to be a hard one for her I think. But she gets to go with Mom on Monday to pick out the Ice cream and all the pop sickles she wants mm mm. I will post soon on how she is doing. Now back to reading your posts. he he

Our Family Trip

We Left on Friday Nov.14 after Mike got off work So we left about 6:00. We drove to Twin Falls Idaho. Spent the night and then got up the next morning and drove to Oregon to see My dad OPAH as the kids would say. We did not get to spent to much time with him he had to go back to work on Monday. Cassidy did read him a book or two. Then off to see Mike's Grandma. She lives in Eugen Oregon. We had a great time with her we went out to lunch. She is fighting cancer and she is almost blind but she always had a smile on her face. My kids don't really remember her when she lived her in SLC but they sure do love her and she sure does love them.
And because the kids missed a whole week of school we had to do homework on our trip I tried to get it all done in the first few days. But I think we did homework at least everyday. But we got it all done.

Then off to see Grandma Kathy in Seattle. Oh how I love this place. All of the fresh seafood yummy. We had such a good time. The girls got to go to a Build a bear Look alike Place and Make there stuff animals. Cassidy is into Seals So that is what she got and Caitlyn Loves her Bear.

We also went to the Chocolate factory and got some yummy chocolates.

Then of course we hit the famous place in Seattle Pikes Market. My Favorite place. Got some fresh Fish, claims, mussels, squid, and scallops. And yes I cooked it all and ate it all too. mmmmm

You can't forget the Snowqualmie Falls it was sooooo cold that day but it was worth it to see the falls the kids love it here. Next time we will go when it is a little bit warmer so we can hike down to the bottom.

Last but not least we took the kids to the Children's Museum we spent at least 3 to 4 hours there it was awesome. the all had a blast. Lots of hands on stuff. Way fun....

We returned home Sunday Nov 23. It was a way fun trip. The kids did not want to come home.

My last week in a nut shell.....

Yes I know I have been lacks on my Blog but I have been very busy. With a sick child and having extra kids with the day care. Oh and yes Mike being gone to Oregon for work. Life has just been CRAZY to say the least. And now I have to try to get the house put back together before we leave on our Family Vacation to Oregon And Washington to see family we will be gone for 9 days. I am looking forward to it time away with the kids no TV for awhile Love it.

So back to my sick child Cassidy who always get sick. She gets strep and ear infections and a sinus infection as well so took her to the Doc on Friday with ear and sinus infection. Got on antibiotics and so we went on but by Monday still not feeling good running fever and then she said her throat hurt, So I look in and sure enough strep. Take her back to the doc get a shot. and then ask how many times have we been here for strep in the last 12 months She looked and said 4. Then I remember we had been 3 times to the after hours. So i ask is it time for those darn tonsils to come out they said yes. So we have an apt. in Dec to meet with the Doc to see when we can get them out. Along with her adenoids so we can stop with strep and sinus infections. YES!!!!

Now about Mikes trip, He went on a mill tour. They go and tour lumber mills. He love to see how each piece of wood is make from the tree. He got to go out in the woods and watch them cut down and load up the trees the go to the Mill and watch them make the lumber. He loved it. Then Saturday Morning they went on a river tour and them went fishing. He is not a fisherman but he love the out doors. Here are some pics from the woods.... He had a great time. But I sure Missed him. Glad he is home Now.....

Report cards are in

So yesterday the kids brought home their report cards. I opened Taylor's first I knew his would be good and I was right he got 5 A's 1 A- and 1 B. Wat to go Tay. Then it was Caitlyn's turn I was a little worried about this one but she got 4 A's and 2 A-'s and 1 C- oops we will be working harder in Social Studies this next term. Then it was Cassidy's turn As I started to open hers I said a little prayer, then pulled it out and read it as I did I began to cry. Then Cassi sat down by me and said "Is it that bad Mom?" I said no Cass you got straight A's. She looked at it and she began to cry then she said "I did it Mom I did it." Yes she did this is exactly what she needed. Right now she is struggling with self confidence and self worth . But I believe that all changed as she saw her grades. I am so glad for a teacher this year who truly cares for each one of the students and is willing to bend to life then up. Thank you AMY. We love you. So last night I let Cassi get her own Ice cream she put on half the thing of whip cream, but that was it Ice cream and whip cream no chocolate? She is crazy but I am so proud of her i am proud of ALL three of my kids they work hard each day to get their homework done most days without complaining. So here is a pic of Cassidy's report card. Way to go Love bug. So as you can see the O's are her A's One O- or A- but this is so Awesome ! I can't quite express my feelings about it. If you had a child with Dyslexia you might know how I feel. Last year she struggled so mush that at the end of the year she asked if she could repeat the 1st grade. So for her to go from failing everything to getting straight A's is a dream come true.

There is a BEAR in the house.

So the other day I had put all the day care kids down for a nap after lunch. As I was cleaning up from lunch I heard this noise I thought it can't be one of the kids they have only been a sleep for 15 Min's. so I walk down the hall and I hear it again it sounds like a bear. Then I get close to Taylor's room this is where Layne sleeps. It is coming from that room I slowly open the door and this is what I heard.
The sound is not that great but let me remind you I heard this in the Kitchen. The door was shut as well. Pour girl.

Our weekend

I had the best weekend. Mike and I took the kids up to Mikes dads house Friday about 4:30 then mike and I went to dinner. We went to Outback Steak house in SLC because you can't get in to it here in Orem with out sitting and waiting for 1 to 2 hours. (crazy I know but people wait). Then we came home we had rented a movie watched it with out any interruptions. Wonderful. Then in the morning I think I opened my eyes at 10:00 AWE it was nice got up showered then went to breakfast. Then went to a movie. Then of course went shopping. I got a bunch of cute clothes. FYI Mervyn's is going out of Business around here know so they have some great deals and they will only get better. Then the next morning got up went to breakfast in SLC and then drove up the Canyon and into Park City and again went shopping got a few things. Bur all in all it was a great weekend spent with Mike. We picked the kids up and we all went out to dinner US the kids Mike's dad and uncle Chris. Then we went bowling the kids love to bowl. we had a great time and Cassidy won everyone in bowling. Way to go Cassi.
The Kids had a great time spent with Grandpa and Uncle Chris.

Fully filled week

So I know that it is only Tuesday, But I think I want to be done being the Mom for a few days. Good thing that Mike and I are spending the weekend somewhere. The Kids will be with Mikes Dad. (THANK YOU RICHARD.) I need a brake. Tomorrow is Mike and I 12 year Anniversary. So we are going somewhere. I say somewhere because I am the one who gets to decide where we are going to stay this year and he picks where we eat. So I am trying to find a place somewhere close because we only have Friday night to Sunday so I don't want to spend the whole time driving. So Salt lake here we come. Plus on Thursday will be mikes Mom's birthday too so we will need to do something for that as well. And Mike's son Mikey turned 16 Yesterday!!! Look out he is on the road. Well kind of if his mom will let him drive. We are still in the works of tiring to get him to live here with us. It's going to be a long proses I do believe. but it will be worth it in the long run.

JuMp On iT

So A friend told me about jump on it. You can go on Monday nights for $20.00 the whole family. I had see it from the freeway but really did not know what it was. So last night we went its a big warehouse full of trampoline's. Mike said "we just paid $20. so we could jump on a tramp for an hour we have one at home." But as he got on the tramps he had a great time. Jumping after the kids from tramp to tramp. All around it was fun and great exercise. I am feeling the effects today. Here is one video of Mike chasing Taylor. What a great FHE.

I Believe...

My Mom sent this to me And I thought it to be perfict for my Blog so I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.

Birth Certificates show that
we were born

A Death Certificate shows that we died
Pictures show that we lived!

Have a seat . . . Relax . . .
And read this slowly.

I Believe...
That just because two people argue, it doesn't mean they don't love each other.

And just because they don't argue, it doesn't mean they do love each other.

I Believe...
That we don't have to change friends if we understand that friends change.

I Believe...
That no matter how good a friend is, they're going to hurt you every once in a while and you must forgive them for that.

I Believe...
That true friendship continues to grow,
even over the longest distance. Same goes for true love.

I Believe...
That you can do something in an instant that will give you heartache for life.

I Believe...
That it's taking me a long time to become the person I want to be.

I Believe...
That you should always leave loved ones with loving words.
It may be the last time you see them.

I Believe...
That you can keep going long after you think you can't.

I Believe...
That we are responsible for what we do, no matter how we feel.

I Believe.
That either you control your attitude or it controls you.

I Believe...
That heroes are the people who do what has to be done when it needs to be done,
regardless of the consequences.

I Believe...
That money is a lousy way of keeping score.

I Believe..
That my best friend and I can do anything or nothing and have the best time..

I Believe...
That sometimes the people you expect to kick you when you're down,
will be the ones to help you get back up.

I Believe...
That sometimes when I'm angry I have the right to be angry,
but that doesn't give me the right to be cruel.

I Believe...

That maturity has more to do with what types of experiences you've had
and what you've learned from them and
less to do with how many birthdays you've celebrated.

I Believe...
That it isn't always enough, to be forgiven by others sometimes,
you have to learn to forgive yourself.

I Believe...
That no matter how bad your heart is broken the world doesn't stop for your grief.

I Believe...
That our background and circumstances may have influenced who we are,
but, we are responsible for who we become.

I Believe...
That you shouldn't be so eager to find out a secret.
It could change your life forever.

I Believe...
Two people can look at the exact same
thing and see something totally different.

I Believe...
That your life can be changed in a matter of
hours by people who don't even know you.

I Believe...
That even when you think you have no more to give,
when a friend cries out to you – you will find the strength to help.

I Believe...
That credentials on the wall do not make you a decent human being.

I Believe...
That the people you care about most in life are taken from you too soon.

they just make the most of everything.'

Need to vent

I need to vent so I am saying sorry now to all who read it. I have to let it out.

OK Most of you know that Mike and I go to Vegas twice a year. Once in April and again in October, for the Drag Races. Now when we were in Vegas in April we found out when the races were in October 30-November 2. So When we got home I put it on the calender and Mike went and put it on his work calender to get the time off. As the month went on we decided to book our room, so we would make sure we got a room, due to it being over Halloween. Vegas is crazy anyways but when you are there for Halloween too it is nuts. So I booked our room in May.

Then a few weeks ago Mikes boss Jeff called him in the office. He told Mike that Burton had changed the dates for their inventory from November 29-30 to November 1-2. They said that they needed Mike to be here for all the prep work, and we would have to cancel our trip. Needless to say I was very up set, to say the least. This was our get away, our together time. So we both said OK and brushed it off. It took a few days to do. But we did.

Then we decided since October 15 was our 12 Anniversary we would try to get away. We would leave on Thursday the 16 after Mike got off work and come home Sunday the 19. So Mike went in to Jeff's office to ask for that Friday off and he said no.(come on) Mike Called me and I wanted to cry. But then I told Mike I guess that's OK Because I have decided that the BABY SITTER can't find a baby sitter I had tried for three days to find a baby sitter for that weekend and no one could. So needless to say our October has been some what ruined.

I know I should not feel sorry for myself but I NEED A VACATION. I NEED TO GET AWAY FROM KIDS. Just for a little while. You see I have my kids then I have the daycare and then I'm in the primary so I have someone Else's kids 7 days a week. I just need a little time away.
OK so I'm done know and I'm sorry again sometimes you just have to let it out.

The only good news I have is that in November we will be driving to Portland and to Seattle we will be gone for 10 days. But with the kids.

My weekend :(

So Sat we got the house cleaned and thought we should do something as a family. So We took the kids to a movie. I thought that all the kids had had lunch but I was wrong. (I will get to this later) So we had lots of popcorn and drinks and had a great time. Then it was the women's broadcast. I thought I was going to go but then saw that I could watch it on TV later so I did that. So we could go out to dinner with Mike's dad.

Got home from dinner and Taylor's cheeks were red he had a slight fever and was coughing and had a runny nose. Then Cassi started to really cough and her nose was running with a slight fever. Oh great here we go. So we stooped at the store to get some night time med. So we get home make them all shower for church in the morning (if we go due to sick kids). So Taylor and Cassi go to bed due to the med. Then at 2:00 Caitlyn gets up and throws up. And again at 2:30 and at 4:30. So I gave her some Pepito to STOP it and it did. Thank you pink pills. So here is where the lunch thing is. So I asked her what she had for breakfast? She had cereal, OK what did you have for lunch? Nothing, but I had lots of popcorn and pop She said. Oh good I thought. Then I think what did she have for dinner when we went out. Not much a bite here and a small bite here. She is the pickiest eater I know. So all she had today to eat was crap. Went through my head. No wonder she is sick.

So in the morning I got up made sure everyone was good and went back to bed. We did not make it to church so we spent the day as a family and watched movie after movie. It was good despite the coughing and runny noses.

Friday, September 26, 2008

OK so yesterday morning I got up when my alarm went off without hitting snooze at 6:45. I felt really good witch was good because I had a lot to do. As I went in to wake the girls I went in a little differently I went in and said "good morning girls time to wake up and gave them both a big hug and kiss." They got up the first time I asked them it was great I thought "this IS going to be a great day.
Taylor was already up. Mike gets him up at 6:30 to take a shower. So he was in the Kitchen having breakfast. so I said " Good morning and gave him a hug and a kiss" He said "what was that for?" I told him I got up on the right side of the bed this morning. His response was "oh" then with a strange look on his face he said " but that is dad's side of the bed." I laughed, as the girls came in they asked why I was laughing. Taylor said I don't know she just woke up on dad's side of the bed.

As my day went on, I got the kids out the door and got the daycare in the door. I started on my house. I started in the girls room I was feeling good and thought I would help them out with their choirs today so I got their room done then went to Taylor's room then on the mine. Then had the daycare kids go watch a movie in the girls room. So I could start on the living room and kitchen and the floor. I was so proud of myself I had the whole house clean by Noon. And most of the laundry done, and dinner in the crock pot. So I feed the daycare and sent them to bed. I had time to sit and read. Then Mike came home for lunch and we got to sit and talk with out kids wanting my attention. It was AWESOME! After Mike left I was able to have another hour and a half to myself. It felt great. It truly was a great day.

Crazy Weekend

So this weekend was the Fall Festival SO Friday I was at the kids school from 8:30a.m. till 9:30p.m. Awe a long day to say the least. The Fall festival was a big hit from the feed back I have gotten so far. The total is not yet in on how much we made, but it still was fun. There was only one Small problem, I got yelled at by the lady who brought the horses because I also had some ponies there and she was not happy about it but oh well life goes on. I just thought it would be fun to have the little kids be able to ride something smaller and less intimidating. But what do I know right. Oh well.

Then Sat I tryed to sleep in but with no luck. So got up and cleaned the house. Then watched the BYU Football game WOW what a game again two games two shutouts awesome. Then I had to go to Wal-mart to get Taylor's Birthday cake to take to my mom's for his birthday on Tuesday. Trying to get though the traffic from the football game was crazy. I left before the game was over but because it was 44-0 everyone left early i guess. But got to wal-mart and got the BYU cake he wanted.

So Sunday after church (our 2 hour Church witch I love) We went to my mom's for dinner around 4:00. We got to pick up Mikey and he went with us. About 7:05 he called his mom and she said "you have to be home now!" K my mom lives in Salem it takes about 25-30 Min's to get from our home to hers and Mikey lives farther so we had just started to serve the Cake. Mike and I took Mikey outside to talk to him about moving in with us. And he just needs to get the guts up to tell his mom he wants to move in with his dad. So we will see but I believe it will be soon that our Family well go from 5 to 6 by next month.

Homecoming

So Mikey called me last week and asked if I knew a good place to rent a tux. I told him yes I have a friend who rents them. So we went last Tuesday and rented him a tux. So This last Sat Sept. 13 08 was his Homecoming dance I told him that he and Shelby (his girlfriend ) need to stop by the house so we could see both of them all dolled up and such. So he called me and said we are on our way. They got here by Shelby's mom was driving them. And so we took pics and so did Shelby's mom So I asked about Mikey's mom taking any pics. and he said NO they left. So I asked Shelby's mom what? And she said that they left before he got in his tux. She said that they were not happy about him going and so they were not going to support him by being there. I'm sorry I just can not imagine not being there for my child's first dance to tell them to have fun to be care full and all the motherly advice. But to take the whole family out to dinner and not be there is just NUTS and I guess that sums up who and how she is. So here are there pics. Mkey is now taller then Mike. CRAZY........ They are both such great kids.

Make each day count

OK so my Life is been a whorl wind. With the Fall Festival planed for next weekend I pray for good weather. But then last week I went to lunch with Mike and got food poisoning. So I was down and out for two days. Then we had an unexpected death in our ward and the funeral was Sat. It got me thinking you never know when God wants you back with him.

As they all ways say make each day count as if it were your last. I have really tried this since school started this year In the past when the kids get home I have them start there home work as I start to make dinner then we are all in the kitchen, but I am no help I busy making dinner. So this year dinner is about an hour to hour in a half later then last year this way I can help with home work then they can go play while I am in the kitchen making dinner. Then when Mike gets home from work he has a min or two to just relax before dinner time and if I need help with dinner he helps me as we talk about our days. I don't feel as stressed doing it this way and that makes the evening better. Plus i get to spend time with the kids too. I get to here all about their day and all that happier well almost all. Well if it's Caitlyn we get to here ALL her day play by play. If you will let here she will go on and on and on. And half of what she says is then she said then I said then she said and I get lost most of the time. but it is fun to hear what the kids dis that day. SO my goal is to keep it up to spend time with my kids each day right after school to find out all about there day dinner can wait. I will make each day count.

First day of School

So the first day of school i like to take pics of the kids as I'm sure most of you do or will do but this year my camera would not work :( so I did not get any pics on that only my phone so I am trying to down load them on the computer so stay tune i hope to have them up here soon.

OK so as you know we are tyring to sale the house. Not really that hard i guess it's only on KSL but we really need to get it sold here soon. Mikes oldest son has asked if he can move in with us. He will be 16 in Oct. it would be nice to have someone older to help out sometimes but where am i going to put him. He will have to sleep on a bunk bed in Taylor's room. And for his clothes ? I will need two dressers. One for him and one for Taylor. The bed Taylor is in now has drawers under it but I will have to put the bunk bed in the room so he will loose the drawers. Mikey will be coming over this weekend to talk about it and then he will decide if this is really what he wants to do. He is a good kid he just needs to have two parents who do and say what they believe. He needs to go back to church and have good friends and i know that our ward will help if we stay here. But we only have one shower. ha. that will be fun.

I'm so ready!!!!!!

OK it is finely here!!! Monday morning school starts and oh how I can't wait. It's hard to imagine though that Taylor is in the 5th grade and Caitlyn is in the 4th and my baby Cassidy is in the 2nd. They are growing up so fast. But now that they are in school I can start to make more money. The day care is up and running full time again. I can't wait. I love the kids i have and and also the cash I get . HA ha I love to have most of the summer off. I am ready to get back to work. Although it might get a little sticky the first few months due that I am in charge of the biggest fundraiser of my kids school, and life may get Crazy. What am I saying It will get crazy, But we will manage.

On another note the house is coming along. We are almost done with it right now we are working on the curb appeal. We got some cool cement blocks for free ye, anyway we are putting them in the front yard in the flower box to make a front porch. Then I will plant some flowers in the small flower box. The grass is coming back after the dog, it is looking green again.
Then we need to put in new carpet and all should be done. Once it's all done then we may list with an agent. Maybe.
We have thought about looking south of us because you can get more house and yard for your buck, and that's what we need, or what we want. We will see how things go.
We have also looked into adding a second floor to the house. We are just not sure what would be the best. I have now just put it in the hands of the lord. He knows what is the best for us he will make it happen what ever it is.

Our New Photos

Well I put up our new family photos. These were taken at my Grandmas 80th birthday party in my uncles back yard at the end of May. The lady was taking the pictures of the kids when she was about to take it on the count of three I quickly told the girls to give their big brother a big kiss. The girls love to give Tay a hard time about it. Out off all the pictures she took that one was the best.

NOT MY WAY? WHY?

OK so everything I have tried to do has fallen through and I want to know why.
The renters that I was planning on moving in this Friday came by today and said she was not going to be able to move in after all. So now I have to go through the whole crappy proses again.
Then Lyn backed out of buying the house and then put up a fence. I feel like I am now being pushed out of the neighborhood. Then we had someone just do a guess on the appraisal on the house and they came back waaaaay low. My tears just wont stop. I just guess that I got so excited about moving in to a newer and bigger house. And now it looks dim, and my heart has broken. So I guess I have to move on, so I am painting all the walls and doors and we will get new carpet. Than mike said we would put it on KSL and see if it will sale. All I do is pray that it sales.

Memory Tag!

1. As a comment on my blog, leave one memory that you and I had together. It doesn't matter if you knew me a little or a lot, anything you remember!

2. Next, re-post these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you. It's actually pretty funny to see the responses. If you leave a memory about me, I'll assume you're playing the game and I'll come to your blog and leave one about you.

Thanks!

Our summer vacation

Ok so we went to Portland and to Seattle. It was a great trip. With a few exciting times. We drove so that was fun. We got up at 5:00 am and were out of the house by 6:00, But I forgot that Caitlyn sometimes get car sick. I remember this when we got to Bountiful were she said mom my stomach hurts, then she turned white and Mike could not get off the freeway fast enough. She throw up in the car. (Mikes car. Bad!) So we had to stop and clean her and the car and Mike since she was sitting behind him. (I know Mary you are laughing i can hear you.) For those of you who don't know Mike is OCD.
So we got to Portland about 7:30 there time 8:30 our time. We had dinner with My dad.We stayed two nights with him. The kids had fun having jam sessions with my dad and all of his guitars. We went to the Portland zoo had a great time. Then we cooked hot dogs and hamburgers buy the lake. Then off to Eugen the next morning to see Mikes Grandma. Who lives about 2 hours from my dads house. When we got there she was not feeling good so we only stayed for a hour then off again to Seattle an 7 hour drive if traffic is good. (witch was not) So we got to Seattle late that night about 8:30 -9:00. We spent three nights at Grandma Kathy's witch one of them was the 4th of July. We had the best time. We spent the day at the Bellview City park. They had fun things for the kids to do, good food and live entertainment. Then the Fireworks were the best we have ever seen. They had a live orchestra playing dunning the fireworks. It was awesome. Then on Saturday we went to Pikes Market my favorite place to go. We got some yummy sea food and went home and cooked it yummmmm. Taylor wanted to try clams this time so we got some and he loved them . Smart kid. Then got up at 5:00 am on Sunday left a 6:00 and drove home got home at 9:00. A lot of driving but we had a good time seeing family.

A chance for change

OK so last week on Thursday I had my renters come tell me they think they have found a house. So I start to think oh great time to weed out the not so good renters. So I call and tell Mike, and he said we will talk about it when I get home. So when he gets home we talk and we decided that if the renters move so do we. We have enough money in the house we can sell and pay off some bills and a car and still have money down. So we have been looking for a house here in Orem. and have found one we really like so far. We need to see all of the inside still but with the Pictures we have seen so far we really like it. It will be nice to have 4 bed rooms so the kids will have there own rooms, and no one will try to kill each other each night. I'm looking forward to an up dated kitchen and two family rooms so I have a place to send the day care kids to play. (and my own kids as well.) The really good thing is that we already have a buyer for our house. Lyn Erickson will be buying it for her kids. So we don't have to worry about trying to sell the house. But We need a change.

A sad day at the Hansen Home!!!!!

NHRA driver Kalitta killed in horrific crash
Scott Kalitta's Funny Car burns as it heads down the track during qualifying Saturday, June 21, 2008, for the Lucas Oil NHRA SuperNationals at Old Bridge Township Raceway Park in Englishtown, N.J. Kalitta died after the car burst into flames and crashed at the end of the track. http://www.newsday.com/sports/motorracing/ny-nhra-driver-killed,0,3833788.story

Scott was one of my favorite drivers. As many of you know we go to Vegas twice a year to see the races. I loved to see Scott race and see each time who is new sponsor was. At one time Jessie James was his sponsor and I love Jessie. Scott will truly be missed on and off the track. And here in my home as well. I have watched the video twice and cry each time. The photo I attached is unreal. His car burst into flames (witch happens a lot) but he did not stop the car and it ran into the end of the track and exploded. Here is the video if you want to watch. it. http://video.google.com/videosearch?sourceid=navclient&ie=UTF-8&rls=RNWI,RNWI:2006-06,RNWI:en&q=nhra&oe=UTF-8&um=1&sa=N&tab=wv&oi=property_suggestions&resnum=0&ct=property-revision&cd=1#

Cassidy's Birthday party

CASSIDY TURNS THE BIG 7 AND HAD A GREAT DAY PLAYING WITH FRIENDS IN THE SUN!!!!!!!

Here is the pics from Cassidy's birthday party. She had a great time, and got a lot a fun toys. I just hope that everyone is feeling OK this morning after eating so much Sugar. Some of the kids had 5-7 cones of cotton candy, plus 2-3 cupcakes and punch. MMMMMM

The weather was great!!!! I think that someone needs to remind me how much hard work goes into a party and tell me not to do it again. 7 yr old kids don't care what type of table cloth you have or if the plates, cups, and napkins match. But I did have fun running the Cotton candy machine. I had cotton candy all over me by the end of the party. I don't know about any of you but I LOVE COTTON CANDY. But it was not as easy as you might think to make those perfect cones you see at the carnivals. I thought I had the hang of it then the next one would not turn out. Then again 7 yr olds don't care what it looks like, only if it tastes good.

The kids had fun in the sun. Playing in the pool and on the slip-n- slide running through the sprinklers and jumping on the trampoline. All in all we had a great day!!!!
