OK so my computer has been having lots of problems. It took me three days to post the last one. So here we go i hope that it will work.
A lot has changed in the last few days here in the Hansen Home. Some of you may know but as of Friday Mike was laid off. I have never seen him this happy. He loves to be home. My house is so clean. The kids love that he is here and can pick them up from school. When we sat the kids down Friday night to tell them Cassidy jumped for joy and said "That means you will always be home!" The smile on her face was priceless. Now that he is home he has fixed my computer. Yeah. If you ask him to do something his response is"Sure I have time." As he says it it is with the biggest grin he has. It is great.
As some of you may also now Mike has also applied for the Las Vegas Police department. He will be testing the second week of April. He is so excited about it. He has wanted to do something with his life to help people and to be able to just drive around and not manage other people on the job. So this is the perfect job for him. He said everyone has always asked "Are you a police officer?" So he said I have to look and the attitude so all I need know is the gun and badge to go with it.
Another exciting thing in our home this week I went to the mail box last Wednesday and found a big envelop addressed to The Parents of Taylor Hansen. I opened it up and there was a letter it said that Taylor has been nominated for the Junior National Young Leaders. Conference to be held in Washington D.C. this summer. What a great honor for him. We had considered letting him go until we got the new of Mike's lay off. We may not be able to afford it. But he was not sure he wanted to go all the way out to Washington by himself for 6 days. It would be a great experience but then again he is only 11.
